Special Features: SIPS (structural insulated panel system) exterior wall system with an R-41 insulation value and Energy Star Certified Design
End Use: Social Security Administration and ODAR (Office of Disability and Adjudication Review)
Special Needs: This was our second SSA facility completed for the same developer so we went into this Design Build project with creative ideas to maximize the governments list of requirements. This building required blast resistant windows, high STC ratings for walls and doors in the hearing rooms, and Energy Star rating. The Energy Star rating was achieved through specifications included occupancy sensors for lights and HVAC, florescent lighting, low-e glass, and R-30 insulation in the walls and ceiling.
