With four dealership locations in Minnesota, this facility will replace their existing facility in Owatonna and will also house their corporate offices, which are now located in separate office in downtown Owatonna. The dealership had its beginning in 1944 as Veldman Equipment and currently employs 85 people, 43 of which will be located in the new Waseca/Owatonna location in the spring of 2012.

Special Features:
With the equipment getting larger and Ag Power being in the commercial Sprayer business, there was a need for larger doors in the shop area. A 40’ x 20’ electric powered rolling aircraft hanger door will be installed in one end wall of the shop. The shop floor will be heated with in-floor heating using used waste oil boilers, which will be fueled using waste oil produced from the shop. The total building will be built to meet Energy Star Standards.

Special Needs:
With moving the corporate office into this dealership facility, the owners want an office-look to a portion of the front elevation. In putting all of the offices on the second floor mezzanine and using brick, a 50 ft. section of the front elevation will look like a two-story office building. A glass curtain wall on the second floor office will look down on the retail space of the facility.

Building size: 64,415 sf consisting of 32,000 sf of shop area; 6,930 sf of retail space; 17,390 sf of parts area. Second floor mezzanine is 15,180 sf with 5,000 sf for corporate office and training. 10,000 sf will be used for storage.
